Individual therapy and gentle radiation
Radiotherapy is one of the three pillars of tumor therapy (surgery, chemo-/immunotherapy, radiotherapy). In recent years, its importance has increased further due to rapid scientific and technical progress. As part of tumor therapy, around 50% of patients receive radiotherapy for curative or palliative purposes.
In our Center for Oncological Diagnostics and Radiotherapy at ISAR Klinikum, we treat all types and stages of malignant tumors. We follow the scientific guidelines and the individually indicated treatment concept.
For the individual planning of tumor therapy and aftercare, a wide range of imaging is required, which can be carried out by our in-house specialists. This enables individual, precise and gentle radiotherapy. Short distances and quick appointments are a matter of course for us.
State-of-the-art equipment
Our aim is to provide radio-oncological therapy at the highest medical level and to keep pace with ongoing technical developments. To ensure the best possible and most gentle treatment, we work exclusively with state-of-the-art technology. Our high-tech Truebeam linear accelerator from the manufacturer Varian is equipped with all the technical possibilities:
- Static and dynamic intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT, RapidArc)
- Stereotactic radiotherapy to the head and body
- Image-guided radiotherapy for all treatments (image guided radiotherapy/IGRT)
- Breath-guided radiotherapy
We are here for you.
At our Center for Oncological Diagnostics and Radiotherapy, our experts offer you the treatment best suited to your individual needs.
If you have any questions about your radiotherapy treatment, please contact us at any time - we will be happy to advise you! You can also find further information in our radiotherapy competence area and on our DIE STRAHLENTHERAPIE website.
Modern research method
Imaging is carried out using a state-of-the-art "double-head camera", which enables particularly fast and precise images of the organs. For the examination, a radiopharmaceutical is introduced into the body in extremely small quantities, which thus participates in the body's metabolism and serves as a contrast medium. In this way, metabolic processes in the living body can be examined.
Concentrated knowledge and experience
The challenge in nuclear medicine is to bring together the modalities, to assess the appearance of organs in conventional radiological diagnostics and the function of the organs from a nuclear medicine point of view. Therefore, all of our experts in nuclear medicine are also specialists in diagnostic radiology.
We are here for you.
At our various locations, we are at your disposal in the competence area for nuclear medical diagnostics: with detailed advice, precise examinations and precise diagnoses.
