Early diagnosis of breast cancer can save lives

Statistically speaking, every eighth woman in Germany develops breast cancer during her lifetime. With about 75,000 new cases annually, it is by far the most frequent tumour disease in women. However thanks to the greatly improved quality of screening examinations and innovative forms of therapy, the cure rate for breast cancer is over 90% according to the latest studies!

Regular screening examinations by qualified specialists are a prerequisite for this. The earlier breast cancer is diagnosed, the better it can be cured.

Comprehensive breast diagnostics with the highest quality standards and level of empathy

Using state-of-the-art technology, DIE RADIOLOGIE München (Munich Centre for Radiology) performs more than 15,000 examinations and over 900 minimally invasive diagnostic procedures per year at MammaZentrum München (Munich Centre for Mammography), one of the Munich area’s largest centres for the diagnostic investigation of breast diseases, and at the Diagnostisches MammaZentrum (Centre for Diagnostic Mammography) in Unterföhring. We employ a full range of diagnostics from digital full-field mammography (optionally with tomosynthesis) to high-resolution ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging to biopsy.

The highest quality standards for your safety

All our breast specialists have many years of experience in breast diagnostics. As part of the screening programme, DIE RADIOLOGIE (Centre for Radiology) performs diagnostic procedures for Screeningeinheit München Nord (North Munich Screening Unit). Dr. Thomas Hilbertz (MD) is the physician in charge of this screening unit.

We use our knowledge, experience and technology for the benefit of your health every day.

What you should bring with you to your examination

Progress evaluations are very helpful and important especially for breast examinations. Please bring records of external preliminary examinations (mammography, mamma-sonography, MR mammography) with you to the examination appointment. We are also grateful for written preliminary findings reports.
